Olga Nord (aka Olga Polouektova) is a self-taught visual artist who was born in Yaroslavl, Russia. She obtained a degree in mathematics and computer science from a university and then worked as a programmer.

However, in 2009, she decided to learn digital design and completed courses in web and graphic design, earning certificates in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Since then, she has been working as a freelance graphic and web designer.

Olga's passion for fine art began with a focus on graphics; her favorite genre is illustration. She calls her illustrations "Short Stories" and uses them to express her innermost world through the language of magical realism. 

Olga has been residing in Toronto since 2022.

The vibrant nature of Canada has inspired her to explore a new painting technique. Being in Ontario has allowed her to discover the rich and varied palette of the landscape and delve into the intricate history of the evolution of Canadian art. This new chapter in her life has ignited fresh inspiration and transformed her artistic journey.
